*8 weeks vs 6 months

Enjoying the day at the tent at Colina Secreta
When I wrote backpacking my style, it was to show how little I spend while traveling thought the world.

I also explain that even that you don’t need much money to travel the way I do; you always have to have some money put aside for incidentals.

You never know if you might get sick and need money for the Dr and meds, or you might not feel safe in the place you are and need money for a hostel, or any situation that might arise, like a pandemic.

I came to Costa Rica to volunteer at Colina Secreta Glamcamp for 6 weeks, then I was planning on traveling through the country for a couple more weeks, and then Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, and In April I wanted to be in Santos, Brazil, to take a cruise back to Europe.
When I was speaking about incidentals, it never done on me that we will have a pandemic.

So, what started as a two month in Costa Rica, it turned into six months, and who knows when I will be leaving this country.
Four and a half months at Colina Secreta in Cockles in the Atlantic coast, and one and a half month in Guess House Pura Vida in Quepos in the Pacific coast.

Even when I leave, I won’t be able to go to the countries I was planning on visiting, because they are not doing too well.

Besides, there are not Workaways, or housesitting right now, so it is good that I follow my own advice and had a little money put aside. Because, as I mentioned before, you never know.

In the meantime, I keep smiling and enjoying this beautiful country until we are allowed to travel again.
